Music as Decor: Stelle Audio Couture

Shelf styling

No matter my mood, the time of day, or the occasion, I need background music. Coffee and the crossword? Mozart, please. Cooking up a storm? Well, that's Ella Fitzgerald of course. Vacuuming the floor and scrubbing the toilet? Nothing less than a 90's dance remix extravaganza will do! While in a pinch I've been known to crank the volume on my iPhone's puny speakers, I much prefer a system that matches my phone's convenience but trumps it for sound quality. Enter the Stellé Audio Pillar.

Desk styling

To my ears, this elegant little unit sounds as good as any complicated set-up that my audiophile Dad had while I was growing up—and it takes up only a slim slice of real estate instead of an entire media cabinet. And like any 21st century gadget worth its salt, it wirelessly interfaces with my phone so I can operate it from anywhere in the house.

Nightstand styling

But as much as I appreciate its function, I most love the Stellé Audio Pillar for how it looks—or rather, for how it recedes almost completely into my neutral decor so I barely notice it at all. It thrills me no end that I can take it into any space, plonk it down, and go about my business. Because at the end of the day, I like my tech like I like my music: in the background.

Disclosure: I received product in exchange for this post, but I adore this thing and have sung its praises to anyone who will listen since receiving it!

  1. Oh that looks so great! I’ve been looking for a portable speaker. This actually looks nice, too. Thanks!
