I've been waiting for this moment for two weeks: I have absolutely nothing to do today. After fourteen days of non-stop travel, work, and being 'on', I'm finally home and ready to shut off. I arrived last night by car from LA--at the end of the drive I was so exhausted that I was popping Skittles with a Diet Pepsi chaser--and ten hours of sleep later, I'm beginning to feel like myself again.
The best part, other than my wide-open agenda for this weekend? Waking up to all the quiet moments I've created around my house, special 'here and theres' where I display my collections. I miss them when I'm away, but they're always waiting when I get back. Even the little quirks--the crack in a wall, a drooping shelf--are a warm welcome. I just had to share these two with you!
Tell me: What do you find yourself surprised to have missed when you return home from a trip?
