My office is my couch. Or my kitchen table. Or a coffee shop. (Right now it's a Starbucks on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica.) But that doesn't stop me from fantasizing about the hopefully-not-too-distant future in which I have a real office, and thinking wistfully about how I would decorate the space. Lately I'm picturing midcentury glam: a strong yet still feminine statement.
I poked around the Interior Connector website and came up with a few must-have pieces for my dream workspace. Signature touches include plenty of right angles and clean lines; warm tones like brass and walnut; textiles in shades of mink, merlot, and midnight. A mid-afternoon break for chocolate-covered digestive biscuits would have to become de rigeur, wouldn't you agree?
Shopping Guide: Horse Drawing, Pewter Rhino, Missoni Pillows, Walnut Table, Walnut Midcentury Chair, Brass Table Lamp, Trellis Coffee Table. Images: 1, 2, 3, 4.
First, that trellis coffee table is AMAZING! And I love the idea of a mid century room that retains a little femininity too! And finally, if you get that horse drawing, do let me know so I can road trip up to SF and um, *admire it...
*admire might equal steal in this case! :)

What great spaces and additions. Artworks always add such character and are a great way to show who you are. I love great and inexpensive wall art.

I feel your pain. My office is not too shabby either. A girl can only dream... one day... hopefully not too far away!

Your dream workspace is quite exquisite. Right now, I've got a grey cube at my job and my couch at home. I keep trying to find a cute coffee shop to work in by me, but most are so packed it's hard to get a seat. Maybe I'll try that Starbucks again.

Some could find it hard to believe that these are pictures of offices as opposed to comfortable living areas. Thank you for sharing.

We humans aren't supposed to be sedentary human beings. We are born to run, but even more so to walk
