Gasp! The new Toast catalog recently hit the airwaves and they said the 'F' word! That's right, they're sending out early Fall vibes and I don't know whether I should grab a scarf or run in search of the nearest flip flops. Of course with San Francisco's funny 'summer' weather, I usually get to do both in the same day; so a little pre-Fall Outfit to Room action feels just right!
The sensibility of this season's offerings have a distinct 90's feel to them. Minimalism rules with slim dark pants, layered tunics and flat ankle boots. But the palette feels very 2010; touches of soft pink and hints of subtle sparkle remind us that we survived the millennium with a bounce in our steps!
Florals still bloom strong. They're big, bold and hardy, and have a decidedly more graphic presence than the twee prints of collections past. I don't see myself in a blossom bedecked blouse anytime soon, but I am considering some fun fabric stretched over a canvas frame in the living room.
I swear I had an ensemble just like this in the 7th grade. In fact there's a chance that I wore it several days in a row while on a 'clothing strike'--a failed attempt to get my mother to buy me a pair of $60 Gap jeans by wearing the exact outfit for weeks on end. I wonder if I went on a 'couch strike' whether she'd buy me a velvet settee like the one above...
Memories of bucket hats come flooding back. Sadly, my bucket hat was plaid and it matched my dress, so the effect was not nearly as cool as this orange one. Here's my chance to get it right the second time around. Or maybe I'll just stick with a ponytail and spring for a fab pink chair with neon pillows? Somehow crimes in decor seem less heinous to me than the fashion sins of my youth!

as a fellow san franciscan, it is a perk that we get to participate in the fresh fall pieces in the midst of july :) the charming combo of bold blooms, 90's- esque cool and flashes of pop hues makes my fashionable heart sing - autumn, here we come!

Although I reside a little more south than my fellow Califorinian's in San Francisco, I cannot wait for the cooler weather. If our summer in San Diego (the coldest in 70 years) is an indicator of the weather to come I will be armed and ready. If not I will just go home a few times (NYC) to make my fall fashion debuts! Great post!

I can hardly wait for fall, I am in Canada, and it usually starts mid-september, I can hardly wait! It's the best time of year here.

So, if I was searching for dining chairs like the first room image, what would my keywords be?

1)Gap story = too funny.
2) Bigger, more graphic floral prints is all good with me.

Since we haven't had any real summer, I have been ready for autumn clothes for a very long time. Those Toast looks area gorgeous, I should check out their website.

Loving the 90's revival! The rooms are gorgeous, too.
Weather has been decidedly fall-like in Zurich, so I haven't exactly been a stranger to scarves and ankle boots. But I don't feel I have the right to complain, because I got my fair share of sun, heat, sandals and sleeveless dresses while in Spain!

Beautifully captured! I love the tunic paired with the skinny pants and flat boots. I love when I find a trendy look that feels decidedly "me" - and then I wear it out to pieces.

Friendship is like earthenware: once broken, it can be mended; love is like a mirror: once broken, that ends it.

I just realized I'll still be typing next week if I keep talking about the great stuff we've gotten, so I'm going to list it!

Maybe we're just lacking the crazy heads?
I especially dislike the Regency style one; tying it to your head with black ribbon does not make it look any better.
Man, the only dream I had last night was that I was being forced to evaluate my chiropractor's earring collection. I think you should ask your patron what she read before she went to bed last night.

HHH Yes, the design of national policy is important, how our economic development plans for the next five years, how the implementation, how to make our economy even faster. Are designed to advance our focus to invest money in what ways it should be carefully arranged.

In order to maintain a good site you need to prioritize the golas you have in order to satisfy the users of it. Your site is like that and I really like that there is the both sieds of it. One because of you and the other one for the users.
