No surprise here: J. Crew continues to inspire with their monthly catalog offerings. I literally gasped out loud when I saw these black-on-black shots. The moody drama, the hit of red lipstick, the fabulous textural layering of leather, wool and sequins? All I can say is that when I'm considering sparkly bloomers as a sensible wardrobe option, someone in marketing is doing something right.
And naturally these images have me thinking about my house. About how I'd like to expunge every drop of color and focus instead on amazing lines and surfaces in glossy blacks and reflective whites. About how I'd like to mix punky silver and gold hardware with prim antiques. About how my obsession with stripes translates beautifully even into this spare, stark approach.
Oh, yeah, the clothes. The distressed lace-up boots that look even saucier when paired with a tomboyish dress. The sleek, skinny black pants with zipper pockets that--though out of the question for those of us with childbearing hips--have me tempted to swear off gelato for the rest of the summer. And that perfectly draped motorcycle jacket? Come to mama!

I've been thinking of re-doing my bedroom in black and white, but was thinking it might be too harsh. Think again! I'm loving it!

Adore all of this. So happy with where J.Crew has gone this Fall -- right when I was getting bored of the ruffles and pastels.

"Black is the new Black" has been the latest buzz among my friends as well! My mother sells CABI clothing, and their fall line is all about black being the new black. Luckily for me... it's my favorite color!

Finish off your beach attire by toting this Huge Blake Straw Travelling bag from Juicy Couture. Searching at it already tells that this is indeed made for that season, holding all of your getaway essentials in model. This kind of material is some thing that is extremely preferred for that spring and summer, so it truly is with out a doubt, a fantastic goodyear belt to have if that yoiwc watches|
