I adore this spring's soft, flirty styles: florals and frills, ruffles and lace. But all that girly goodness needs an edgy counterpoint--and C. Viviani jewelry is just what the fashion doctor ordered. I adore these chunky faceted baubles and the rough twist they add to even the most ladylike outfits. Because even ballerinas like to punk it up now and again!
And of course I couldn't resist pairing these ensembles with some moody, dramatic interiors. A sculptural cuff sets the tone for a modern, architectural statement. Bits of lace and curvy lines add a soft touch, all while maintaining the strong graphic sensibility of this look.
A casual weekend vibe gets a posh update with this stunning link bracelet. Insider details like a McQ tunic or Naoto Fukasawa pouf whisper, 'I know what I'm talking about,' while punchy brights and slouchy shapes say, 'But I don't take myself to seriously...much.'

Oh that black tank with the little feathered cap sleeves is so fabulous! It reminds me of this great feathered skirt from Alice and Olivia. I'm so happy to see the feminine trends this season (as this has been my own personal style for ages now!) and I love that it can be so perfectly personalized by the way a girl juxtaposes it with other more casual or edgier items. Thanks for sharing! Love your blog!

So chic and pretty, Anne! They all have just enough edge, too, so that they're not too frilly. I did a Feather outfit yesterday that reminds me of the middle look. I'm loving silver and purple together lately for some reason.

We don't really have to go looking for them. We have a wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise. Why waste time in this world looking for the bad, disappointing or annoying when we can look around us, and see the wondrous things before us?

The jewelry history is also a history of material and technology development.
