In the world of luxury and indulgence, there is one label that I covet above all others: Bottega Veneta. Enraptured, I press my nose to their boutique windows. Enthralled, I stroke their divine leathers and linens. Enchanted, I squirrel away cash towards their iconic handbags until I am reminded that I have rent and bills to pay.
Even with their advertising, Bottega Veneta never fails to bewitch---and this season's campaign is no exception. Conceived by creative director Tomas Maier and shot by fine art photographer Nan Goldin, it encapsulates the complex, multilayered sensibility of the brand. The tension and the intimacy of these images send shivers down my spine.
Pulsing with rich, timeworn texture and vibrant, fiery light, the campaign transports me to a crumbling pensione in the Italian countryside. Think lazy riverside picnics; drowsy afternoons under an awning's shade; midnight skinny dipping in the moon glow. All while lavishly accessorized, of course ;)
P.S. 10 little things about me that you might not know!

I just cut that first Bottega Veneta ad out of my Vanity Fair to save in my inspiration folder! It's just stunning!

Ohh lovely. Gorgeous light, with Nan Goldin involved I somehow expected more overt sexiness, but no. I've been coveting one of BV's entrecciato bags for years and years now, so beautiful and timeless...sigh. Think I might start a bag fund, think I'd afford one in about 10 years!

With a styling as stunning and detail-orientated as this, how could you not fall in love. For me, it's all about the emotions evoked from photo shoots and this one certainly does not disappoint.

Preach it, sister! In other "designers with awesome photogs doing their ad campaigns" news, have you seen the Tory Burch ads done by Tina Barney? Ahmazing.

This is a real world of luxury and indulgence. It is a great way how to bring a little bit of Mediterranean into our life. If you like a lot of different materials, colours and accessories, you can make over your cold home into chic Italian place. The combination of new and old is still IN, it looks interesting and gives homes their own personality. Our homes present us, so it is very important to design them as good as we can. Presented ideas are truly inspiring and helpful for us.
Best regards,
Elli
