It will be a few years before a mini City Sage puts in an appearance. But lately I've been getting goo-goo-eyed at the thought of crafting and decorating for my future bambinos; and I definitely plan to outdo myself with each succeeding birthday party (um, have you seen my holiday cards?). So naturally I'm struck with awe and envy over these photos from a recent first birthday celebration in Los Angeles.
Couldn't you just eat this whole set-up with a spoon? From the safari theme to the soft, sophisticated palette, and from the canvas treat bags to the adorable stuffies loitering on wheat grass, the ticking of my mommy clock sounds deafening right now. I'm filing these pics away for when I throw myself my friends throw me a baby shower.
I don't know about you, but I won't show my face at any party that doesn't offer a mountain of sugary color-coordinated treats. These blue and white cake pops came courtesy of clever blogger and proud auntie Sandy. Find the how-to here! P.S They're red velvet inside...
The most important guest of honor? Alright, it was the adorable birthday boy himself. But coming in a close second was the traveling donut station that fried hot blobs of dough for the enjoyment of all in attendance. Whadya say for now, I'll just skip having babies and get my hands on one of those carts?

Really adorable. Almost an overdose (I have a weakness for stuffed animals and that elephant in particular is pulling on my heart strings). And a doughnut station?!?! Yes, please!
