Palette Obsession: Purple and Gray

As promised this morning, I'm back with groundbreaking insights of great import. Because I know your day would not be complete lest I wax poetic on my latest favorite color combo--purple and gray! I'll take any variation on the theme: lavender and charcoal, orchid and cinder, even indigo and heather!

The two hues are perfect foils for each other; gray tones down the drama of purple, while purple puts a stylish twist on gray's mumsy tendencies. I'm especially fond of this pairing in bedrooms; the sensibility is at once sophisticated and warm, fresh and inviting, and suited for antique and contemporary spaces alike. Toss in some gold accents for the ultimate in cozy-luxe!

Oh, I love purple and grey. The added purple makes it seem so luxurious.

The bed appears on a scaffold that in turn works like support for books and magazines. Further, in the limit of the scaffold, we see a wooden small table of only one piece that contributes a natural, present accent also in the beams of the roof.
