Right now I'm majorly jealous of the huz--he's back in New York for the first time since we moved. I was going to travel there with him, but life being what it is, I've had to put my dreams of a carefree NYC jaunt on hold. So imagine my delight to learn that ABC Carpet and Home--that mecca of all things fabulous!--is finally offering online shopping!
Of course the web boutique doesn't hold a candle to the awe-inspiring in-store experience, but it still sends my pulse into overdrive. I'm now daydreaming about twinkling antique chandeliers, repurposed Belgian factory tables, and earthen tablewares crafted by the tiny paws of Peruvian capybara.* In short? My whistle has been whet, and you can bet that the huz will be taking a trip to the physical store, camera phone in hand, so I can do some vicarious shopping!
*Hey, you never know what you'll find at ABC!
That bedding is fabulous, the textures aaahh. and what a sweet little bird!

I loved to go to ABC when I lived in New York... for the shopgirls! I'll never forget an Australian beauty named Nicole, but I couldn't tell you anything I actually bought there. My favorite home shopping sources in NY were Barneys or flea markets in Chelsea and Soho. I love some of these pix you posted, though, especially the chair and mountain stool.

ABC's Goodwood furniture line to chemical free organic cotton beds, soy candles, table top, rugs and lighting-ABC has it. I haven't had the opportunity, as of yet, to visit the store, but it's defiantly on my to do list one day! Until that time comes, I was so pleased to find out that ABC has an online store that launched recently!
