Let's take a break from this morning's holiday hubbub and talk some serious design. Remember that client of mine who was searching for the perfect low, lounge-y sofa? Well, we found it in the form of the Tre I by Vioski! Now the trick is to track down the ideal coffee table. It must complement the clean, casual lines of the sofa. Furthermore, the space has a somewhat modern organic feel to it--maple ceilings, polished concrete floors, and a full wall of textured brick--so it would we want the coffee table to reflect that vibe.
And there's certainly no shortage of promising candidates out there! Ranging from blocky to sleek, from tempered glass to reclaimed wood, this type of coffee table is surprisingly versatile. Combine it with simple, contemporary furnishings for a streamlined look, or introduce it into a traditional setting for some contrast. What's more, there's an option for every budget; the Element Table from CB2 (#7) is a real steal at only $349!
Do you have a fave? What's your take on this style?

I love all of your options.
The one in the top/left pic is one that we bought at Garden's in Austin. The one with the wheels?? I weighs a million pounds but is sooooo pretty.

Wow, it's hard to choose a favorite coffee table. I love all of them in their own unique way. I guess my top four would have to be - #1, #6, #7, #8.

I love how these look, but my boyfriend would be absolutely pained. Now where can he prop up his feet?!

Of course I would love #8 the best, the one that you can't find the link for. Oh man...

I think I like number 8 too :) I'm positive in the right space it looks incredible. In our itty bitty apartment, we would walk around with bruised shins :)

I like 2, 4, 6, and 7, sorry that doesn't do much to narrow it down! We just finished our search for the perfect coffee table and I know what a fun challenge it can be. We actually found it at Gingko Home Furnishings in San Fransisco if you want to pop over and take a look. Also check out these links- they seem to be in the same vein. Have fun!

It's really not fair to list this one because the site I'm referring to is still in development. It should launch in the next few weeks. I list it because it's going to be very "top 5" worthy when it launches.`

Onsite customer is important, and our location on the beach in Florida plays into our ability to attract people to come work at our office. I also introduced some ideas about visual design, and when you should do design work on a project, that isn't necessarily what you would expect from a believer in extreme programming.
