So much of the holiday season is about the flavors of those special foods that we enjoy only once a year. And nothing says Christmas to me like the spicy scent of gingerbread filling the air. But have you ever noticed it's color? A warm brown with golden undertones, it's a hue that translates nicely into antique or contemporary styles.
The translucent glow of champagne provides plenty of decorating inspiration. But don't forget those bubbles! I just love the way the dance to the top of the champagne flute and tickle your tongue. Capture their effervescent spirit with a softly glowing palette and plenty of playful touches.
Red and white with touches of dark cocoa: doesn't it make you crave the refreshing snap of peppermint and chocolate? Wrap gifts in punch paper and tie them with a deep brown bow, then head to the kitchen and try my recipe for peppermint bark. Yum!
P.S. More Food to Room, and some holiday Outfit to Room.
P.P.S. There's still time to win holiday bling in this week's giveaway!

The first set has me all aflutter. It's perfectly suited to cloves and nutmeg floating through the air :)

I LOVE the ornaments littering the stairs. If I didn't to walk up my stairs a hundred times a day, I'd do that!
