Pillows Please!

We've been redecorating the living room, and with the big pieces finally in place (more on that later!) we're ready to start playing with the details. I am a pillow fiend, so of course that's the first place my thoughts turn. For the sofa I'm thinking bold and graphic, with a touch of cheek--and these silhouette cushions from Ferm Living are just the thing!

If black and white isn't your bag, then shades of plum, mustard and grey make for a great fall update. (Aside: At Blog Out Loud I had the pleasure of meeting Christiana, the creative force behind Ferm Living. She is every bit as wonderful as the products in her shop! )

Thomas Paul is another go-to source for pillows. The website has a zillion patterns to choose from, but I'm partial to a punchy pup, a Mad Men-esque floral, old world Fortuny opulence, and an indigo sea horse. (In fact, midnight blue is one of my favourite hues this season!)

You may be familiar with the clothing line Twinkle by Wenlan, but did you know they have a home collection too? Get your fill of zigzags, polka dots and girly glamour, all in shades of blush, sea foam and navy. Any of these would easily look fabulous--the hard part is deciding which I like best! Now tell me: do you have a favourite place to shop for throw cushions?

These pillows you feature here are so beautiful!I love Homegoods or TJ Maxx for throw pillows - especially if you are on a budget like I am! They have often have an eclectic assortment that's reasonably priced!

Twinkle makes the best sweaters! I have one that is one of my all time favorites. I'm loving the zigzags and of course anything by Ferm Living. I really must stop buying pillows though. Our house is filled with them!

I have yet to convince my husband that pillows, particularly decorative ones, are useful and good to have on the couch and the bed and random chairs! You have such great taste!

Oh I am dying over that seahorse on indigo (I've also started adding that to my home as well). But I also love the Chevron design. This is a hard one. Can't wait for you to show your new place. In the meantime, hope you'll pop by and weigh in with your thoughts on white floors...
