Speaking in Monochrome: Grey

I certainly don't need an excuse to indulge my love of one-color dressing, but I was still thrilled to see monochromatic outfits amongst the fashion trends for fall '09! So as summer winds down and fall draws nearer, I thought I'd do a little series on my favourite head-to-toe hues. At the top of the list? Grey all the way!

As with any monochromatic outfit, the key is to layer different shades of grey to keep the eyes moving. Weathered jeans look soft yet sleek tucked into buttery leather boots. Toss in some pattern with a striped shirt and a leopard scarf--another of this season's hottest must-haves! Finally, the classic City Tote from Foley and Corinna gets an update in smoky charcoal. Bye bye sunshine: bring on the grey skies!

I love, love, love the color grey. It's such a cool alternative to black. I've been rocking the gray nail polish, too; I adore Rescue Beauty Lounge's "Stormy". Something tells me I'll be wearing it a lot this fall.

it's so lovely..that color.. it can look quite good with almost all the colors that's why i like it. and most favourite combination- grey with red..but it depends on what exactly they are of course..i like that long grey socks on the 1st photo :)

I was just thinking about various shades of gray as I sat in my doctor's office today (the decor was very gray-rific). It really is a soothing color, and I loved wearing it last fall. Very pretty :)

You also can suggest , if she feels depressed or is having school problems, that she talk to the school counselor or a favorite teacher, and offer to go with her.
