anne, you are hilarious. loved this post. so funny too, because i always wonder, when, exactly, am i supposed to wear, say, leather leggings. xo.

margot

Oh my, you know a look is doomed when it even makes a gorgeous stick-insect-bodied modelista look like a sack of trash -- ie. the maxi dresses. Do love the anorak, trapeze henley and the jacket of the leather legging ensemble.

jen laceda

Ooh, I like all these looks. Most especially the first 2. Go safari sexy chic look!

Ms. Jenn

The Look: Uber-baggy stripes. The Occasion: Delivering a metal file baked in a cake to your imprisoned bad-ass boyfriend.

HILARIOUS!

Bells

thanks for enlightening me on what exactly one wears leather leggings for - I feel like the last to know. Odd though that there seem to be so many orphaned pony stables in East London, that seem to need mucking out so late on a Saturday night....?

Too funny.

Hi Anne, from photos I've seen of you, you could totally pull these looks off! Thanks for sharing them with us. Guess it's time to get out of my yoga pants and t-shirts and get dressed. ;)

Plush Palate

Love this post! Seeing the versatility on these outfits has got me feeling very creative and inspired! Oh and have I mentioned how much I LOVE your writing, too?!

TERI REES WANG

We are collectively becoming a softer, more poetic road warrior. Sandal-boots as proof as well as a livable, workable uniform daily palate.

Joanna

Love it. Is this a regular feature of yours? If not, it should be!

robin pulsifer

so you keep on teasing us with fall huh? :) michelle mason's designs are perfect really! i love those calf zipper pants and the leather leggings. in one of my more confident moods, i'd hope i could pull that look off! all are edgy, sometimes soft and really just fun.

Down and Out Chic

ummm, seriously you should warn me before throwing out jokes like the "baggy striped" one. i can't be caught laughing crazily at my computer! thanks for the trends heads up.

A Life More Fabulous

Lol - you are hilarious! Thanks for the laugh! So glad I finally have the perfect outfit for mucking out at my pony orphanage - how well you know me!

Paula Grace

Love he mini dresses! I would look like a sack in the long dresses though.

shilvia

Bromeliad

Can you start a magazine?

Kristin @ Contented Me

Anne - you totally crack me up!

(psst... I love those cigarette calf-zip pants!!)

Heidi

This doesn't happen often when I see these kinds of spreads but I WANT EVERY LOOK!

vee

LOVE the strip maxi dress!

georgia

they all great. and your take on each one is a stitch {hehe. no pun intended.}

guess what came in the mail yesterday. the coolest ever green and blue pillows. they have me wanting to make over my green and orange sixties living room to a preppy eighties living room. what to do. what to do. i may end up giving them to chris, as she seems to have those colors goin' on in her living room. i told her i would when she was over two days ago, and she really seemed to like the idea! too bad she wasn't here the next day instead. oh, well. i'm gonna go see her next week. so you'll be happy to know they are going to a just as grateful home and one that they match.

thanks again, sweet anne.

Erin

Drool. drool down my chin and all the way to the floor!
