When the fabulous Erin at Apartment 34 requested a Getaway Get-the-Look for Amalfi, my heart started to race; I've never been there but it's at the top of my dream vacation list for sure. Amalfi is renowned for its Medieval architecture and breathtaking natural scenery. This combination of ancient culture and coastal terrain makes for unparalleled beauty!
Set your romantic imagination into overdrive with a draped and belted tunic dress the color of the sea. Jeweled sandals and a tapestry handbag echo the region's opulent Byzantine influence, while a cameo necklace and earrings reflect its Baroque sensibility. Extra-large shades and a floral scarf channel that most sultry of Italian sirens, Sophia Loren.
Summon historied glamour at home. Pieces from diverse eras are united by powerful lines and dramatic glimmer. A roll arm sofa and inlaid table boast a strong presence and easily hold their own against accessories like a marble bust, bold pillows, mysterious portrait, and fabulous glassware. In the end it's hard to know what will steal the show more: a Venetian glass chandelier, a capiz shell screen, or you as you lounge indulgently amongst it all!
Have a gorgeous weekend, no matter where it takes you!

The color of that dress is unbelievable. I would wear, no, make that happily wear, every one of those magnificent pieces. And if I could stroll down the winding cobblestone streets gazing down upon the emerald tide in Amalfi itself, well that would be a dream come true.
Happy weekend Anne! Thanks for your lovely email. It's always a treat to hear from you! :0)

Oh, love that blue dress! I went to the Amalfi Coast a few years ago, and it's definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been (aside from Stone Town on Zanzibar and the masai mara in Kenya). I'd love to get back to Italy for a 2nd honeymoon with the huz!

Last summer I traveled through Europe and got to go to the Amalfi cost for a say. We got there in the morning and literally the water blended into the sky. I have never seen a more beautiful place.
