Since I know you've all been on tenterhooks since this morning's fall trends post, here's the second installment to satisfy your appetite! Go gamine with a flounced frock and boyish oxfords, or get the look at home via proper parlour styling with a twist.
The French have an uncanny ability to pair the unexpected and make it work. Whether it's flats and a pencil skirt or a single dramatic portrait on a radiant magenta wall, step out of your comfort zone and surprise everyone--including yourself!
The day dress has been having such a moment, and rightfully so. What a delight it can be to revel in ladylike details! So bring those flowers, frills, ribbons and bows out of the closet and set the table for a girly brunch with your besties!
I think we can all agree that the 'No White After Labour Day' rule is dead in the water--and I couldn't be happier about that! In the home, layer tones from ecru to ivory and everything in between, because white looks right all year 'round.
Tweed--so often reserved for autumnal tributes to collegiate style--is actually an extremely versatile, durable and stylish interiors textile. I adore a tweed upholstered sofa; it can withstand even the most vigorous Playstation session, and the texture simply begs for some snuggling!

Darn, I like that Roksandra dress! Only, I can't afford the $1000+ price tag!

Great post! Even though I'm slightly under 5'1", I really like flats with a pencil skirt for work. It's chic and easy.

Great post - I guess I am ready for fall now!

I love white -- in fashion and in interior design. Only problem is, I tend to be a little clumsy. My dry cleaner spends a lot of time cleaning red wine stains out of my lovely white clothes and pillow cases...

I need that extra push to dress up all day. When I'm home I love my yoga pants and a light t-shirt. :) Thanks for another beautiful post. You have great style, Anne!

I'm ready to rock the tweed this fall. It reminds me of fall in England. Bliss.

The tweed, oh yes the tweed. That room is terrific traditional with a twist. But I suppose the fantastic window doesn't hurt...

Such pretty colors! And I love the idea of a pencil skirt and flats...but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to try it!

I love the idea of breaking all the style rules! : ) I especially love the flats in the first picture and I am a big fan of white any time during the year!

I have fallen hard for that magenta wall with the single portrait, so classic and beautiful. I think I just found the colour of my guest room!!
